Definition of a Biobased Product

A commercial or industrial product (other than food or feed) is composed, in whole or in significant part, of biological products or renewable domestic agricultural materials (including plant, animal and marine materials or forestry materials.

What is a Biobased Product?

i) Relies on plant or animals as the main ingredient.

ii) The plants or animals utilized are a renewable resource.

iii)With some exceptions, generally do not contain synthetic, toxins or environmentally damaging substances.

Does Biobased Product works as well as traditional cleaners?

Several factors such as temperature, agitation and dwell time must be taken into consideration when determine how well a cleaner or solvent works. Most biobased products are as effective as the traditional cleaners.
